FOLS AGM November 18th

1. Matters Arising and last year’s minutes

Sue thanked all attendees for coming. Last year’s minutes were approved. There were no matters arising.

2. Chair’s report – Sue Thomas   presented her report – see attached for detail.

Key fund raising events of the year:

• Quiz Night – very successful
• No Castle Combe this year – hopefully we will be asked next year as it’s a good earner
• Salsa night with the help of Debbie Bailey – huge fun
• Joiners BBQ in Sept – very well attended
• Gift Night – the most successful to date
• Thanks to Sam for her perseverance in tracking down and applying for grant for netball markings
• During the year Nicky Horrocks resigned from the committee – ST thanked her for their input, and to Sarah Findlay for her 5 years as secretary

 3. Treasurer’s Report – Sam Hughes presented her report for FY Sep 07 – 31 August 08 - see attached for detail.

Key points:

• Gift night and Castle Combe have been the biggest fund raisers, with other social events bringing in around £500, and the Y6’s party raising a surprising £110.
• Expenditure has been on travel, recorders, playground equipment, swimming
• Future expenditure will include the Garden, swimming and stage blocks

4. Election of new committee

All committee formally stood down, resigning from the committee this year was Sarah Findlay and Sue Thomas. This year joint chairs were appointed.

Thanks were given to both Sue Thomas as outgoing chair and to Sarah Findlay as outgoing secretary. Julia Hind passed on her thanks too.

 The meeting was closed at 7.50 pm
